The
475 Commander has been designed in response to high
demand for a boat under 50 ft with three
comfortable double cabins and two heads. An aft deck
in level with the deck saloon for optimal contact between
these two areas, as well as its large aft storage, was
also high on customers’ wish lists.
The wheel house
has been raised one step from the deck saloon level
for good visibility, and - as on all Storebro
boats - there is a good size chart table in front of
the helm. All navigation instruments are within handy
reach for the helmsman. A large L-shaped sofa with
table offers plenty of space and gives a good view forward
for the passengers. Other practical details in the
wheelhouse
are a door to the portside deck and an internal staircase
leading to the flying bridge, in addition to one from
the aft deck.
The
owner’s cabin with a large 2
m (6.6 feet) long double bed is located in the bow and
has plenty of wardrobe
and locker space. A unique feature is that both heads
can be reached with direct access from the owner’s
cabin, very practical in a situation when there are no
other sleeping guests onboard. The two guest cabins are
located side by side amidships. Each features two full-length
berths with wardrobe and locker space, and the port cabin
offers direct access to the head. The galley, which offers
plenty of countertop and locker space, is located along
the starboard side of the deck saloon, giving the chef
a chance to feel part of the other passengers’ activities
while cooking. A 230 V ceramic top stove, microwave
oven, galley extractor fan, large 130 liter (33 gallon)
fridge
and deep freezer are all standard.
